Something Called Grace

Amyeverett  I   lift the gun

Place it gently on the heart beat

Suicide

Murder

It's time to let go of the devil

One swift shot

Bleeding on your halo

beneath the wolves tongue

that was swallowing me

Death has to happen to live.

Call me Peter

Killing Thomas

It's loaded

the way it's supposed to be

Laid to rest

winning a race

I am saved

By grace

I have one cigar

One kiss goodbye

to who we are

Black and white soul

come clean.

I remove the mask

Empty the tears into a dark sky

I am thirsty

Pretty soon it will be alright

Redemption is on the other side

I am part of Kings.

who couldl ever touch me

Click

and

that's all I heard

To live we have to die.....

Ads are poison. If you could kill the Western world you'd end up with something that would look like the bloated corpse of Napoleon – its hair riddled with arsenic.

(NB: Life can be perfectly serendipitous. I had these two quotes that I wanted to use for something but had my doubts about being able to do so in one post... and then I open my online newspapers and find I can use both as quite appropriate 'bookend' lines for this following column.)

This first:

“Working almost exclusively on this mammoth project for five years, Crumb has rendered the entirety of Genesis in comics panels. “The first book of the Bible graphically depicted! Nothing left out!” brags a banner on the cover.”

I posted this in its original form many moons ago at TIBU. It has undergone many revisions since then and recently my life has been truly altered by a friend/writer/editor who has helped me reconcile this piece.

I'll head it as I did at TIBU though:

NOT for the fainthearted, weak stomached, or narrow minded.

Is this the dumbest or the saddest story of the week? "Welsh family sees Jesus in the lid of a Marmite jar."
