scanning the familiar horizon
as I enter the park this morning,
sun filling the top of the sky,
I see the massive ship
moored off the coast of Nashawena
and I wonder what it is there for;
then, I see the first
of the rockets
explode off the bow,
heading quickly
for the center of the village,
and I realize
that they are finally here.
